What exactly make a golf bag a hybrid? Here is TaylorMade’s explanation.
Designed for a golfer who enjoys walking the course on occasion, but also enjoys cart riding, the Supreme Hybrid features the storage space of a cart bag with the mobility of a lightweight stand bag. The Supreme Hybrid is complete with two slots to accommodate oversized putter grips, double zippered garment pocket, a four-point shoulder strap with air mesh for ventilation, an anti-split stand system and a cart compatible base.
Let’s get into the review of the new TaylorMade Supreme Hybrid golf bag.

LOOKS/FEEL:
The new Supreme Hybrid bag is definitely pleasing to the eye. We received a black and orange version of the bag, which I absolutely love since it has the Bunkers Paradise orange. I think TMAG did a nice job with the color scheme of the bag as well.
The bag itself is ridiculously light at 5.3 lbs. and you can bet that will make a big difference after you’ve walked the entire course. There is nothing worse than getting to the last few holes and being exhausted from lugging a heavy bag around.
The 4 pt. shoulder strap is very comfortable as TaylorMade made sure it was ergonomically correct to reduce stress on your entire body, including your hips. They actually put a pad on where the bag would bang up against your hip as you walk. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter. They even made the strap with “breathing” capabilities to help reduce sweat.
PERFORMANCE/FUNCTIONALITY:
As you can see from the photos there is a slot for each club which keeps your clubs from bouncing around all over your bag, which is probably my favorite feature of this bag. The second thing I absolutely love about this bag is the large handle at the top. With it’s durable structure, you can lift the bag right from that handle and have no worries of it causing damage. Where I found this the most useful was placing my bag in and out of my car.
With ten total pockets on the bag I had no problem finding a spot for all my gear, and I carry a lot of gear. Because we are always doing golf club reviews, I carry a camera and a GoPro, along with other items to keep the clubs clean etc. On top of that I also have to have all my “normal” golf gear in my bag. The Supreme Hybrid was able to carry all my gear with some room to spare. While having a drink pocket to keep your beverage cold might not be the most important, it’s the little things that make this bag outstanding.
It also has a Velcro glove tab (see in photos) that was actually quite nice to have. Slap your glove on there when heading to the putting green and it’s waiting there for you when you get back.
OVERALL:
I used the bag on two occasions, once I walked the course and the other I rode. I wanted to test the functionality of the bag in both scenarios as it is meant for both. During my walking round, the bag was light and easy to strap on in between shots and felt comfortable walking down the course. As for the riding, it fit snuggly into the cart and there was no bouncing around. I did have to turn the bag slightly to get it to fit just right. Other than that issue right there the TaylorMade Supreme Hybrid golf bag is excellent.
