What do you get when you put two motivated individuals together who have years of experience in business, apparel manufacturing and love for the game of golf? You get Social Era Apparel. Gerry MacDonald and Dicky Hui got together and decided that they wanted to create golf apparel that was stylish with premium materials but make them affordable. There is nothing worse then finding a shirt on the rack that you love and checking the price tag. The "Oh Snap" factor kicks in quick when you see a highly priced shirt. You look at it a little more and pretend you really didn't like it anyway and you put it back on the rack hoping no one saw the shocked look on your face. With prices on their shirts ranging from $50.00-60.00, you will surely find something you like.
Below is a short video we put together with the clothing Social Era sent over for testing and review.

Here is Social Era's Vision Statement:
At SOCIAL ERA we are all about designing products for players using the feedback from professional staff players and consumers to continually improve upon function and fashion sense.
We also strive to create a product that offers the styling and materials of the premium labels without the premium price.
Our vision is to grow our brand at the green grass level by offering an exclusive product to their pro shops and by giving back to the game through supporting entry level professional golfers and avid amateur/junior associations.
We look forward to seeing more of you in SOCIAL ERA!
Here is a little bit about Gerry MacDonald and Dicky Hui, the two masterminds behind Social Era.
GERRY MACDONALD
Gerry is an avid amateur golfer with professional aspirations but he also has deep roots in the real estate market in Western Canada. He's brought forward fresh new designs and a keen eye to style. He's also the motivating factor to the creation of this brand and the future of SOCIAL ERA.
DICKY HUI
Dicky is the man behind the scenes that makes everything possible. He has over 40 years of experience in the apparel manufacturing business specializing in many European labels. Dicky has a passion for continuing his efforts in the apparel industry as well as supporting a start up brand operated by Gerry MacDonald. If you have any ideas for shirts you would like made we can have pretty much anything fabricated in our sample room with the assistance of Dicky and his staff.
Looks:
Social Era Apparel has created a modern day golf look with all of their apparel. From bright colors, to sleek grays and blue, you can find whatever style you are looking for. They sent us over a couple shirts you saw in the video above and belts to match. The shirts fit great and look great. I have tried several different golf shirts for reviews and some sizes run too big or too small. The shirts Social Era sent over fit perfect. They were loose enough around the chest area for freedom of movement during my swing and then tightened up slightly around the waist so it wasn't too baggy. With multiple colors schemes and styles you will be able to match your own personal style.
Performance:
Social Era focusses on putting top quality golf clothing that is comfortable, looks good and is affordable. So when a company to pull that off and produce high quality performance clothing to go along with that, I get excited. The Golf World should get excited to be honest with you. We all can't afford a $100.00 golf shirt. We all can't even afford an $80.00 golf shirt. Shall I go on? The point being, this shirt performs just as well as those other companies that sell their clothing for higher prices. I was impressed with the freedom of movement, the comfort level and how dry the shirt kept me throughout the round. It seems as though there is another contender in the golf apparel world.
